How BioSweep Technology Works
The entire process is generated from one portable unit, enabling us to bring this service to any location or site – from homes to businesses as well as any type of vehicle.
The system eradicates airborne and surface odor causing organic molecules and microorganisms, including non-odoriferous pathogens and bacteria.
Our unique process uses the science of photocatalytic oxidation (PCO). This highly advanced form of PCO produces simultaneous, interrelated forms of oxidation including HEPA filtration, Hydroxyl Radicals Production, Purified O3 and H2O2 Production, Singlet Oxygen and Oxyradical Plasma Production, and Sterilizing Germicidal UVC Radiation.
Step 1 – UV Radiation
High intensity germicidal UVC irradiation and additional bands of the UV spectrum are used to dissociate bonds within the DNA of airborne microorganisms. This first step prevents them from further replicating.
Step 2 – Plasma Gas
A powerful sterilizing plasma gas in the unit chamber attacks bio-particles as they flow through the system and rapidly begins breaking the carbon bonds forming their cellular matter. This plasma gas includes singlet oxygen, superoxide, hydrogen peroxide, and three oxyradicals: hydroxyl radicals, the atomic oxygen radical, and hydroperoxide radicals.
Step 3 – Concentrated Ozone
Ozone and hydrogen peroxide molecules exit the unit into the space being treated and continue working for 30-45 minutes before decaying harmlessly back to the natural elements. The system produces ozone, called purified trivalent oxygen, which contributes to oxidization inside and outside the chamber.
Step 4 – Production of Hydroxyl Radicals
Nanoparticles convert water vapor in the air or feed gas into more hydroxyl radicals. These radicals break up organic matter in order to generate more radicals.
Step 5 – HEPA Filtration
Certified HEPA filters capture the largest particles flowing through the system, leaving the smallest particles to eradication by the conversion process.
